About Us

The Titans Community Foundation was registered as a Charity in January 2006.

As a charity the Foundation is able to secure additional funding from other external sources to further extend the work of the Community Programme which was originally formed to work on behalf of the Rotherham Rugby Club in January 2002.

The Titans Community Foundation is delighted to be able to contribute in so many ways to the development of young people throughout Rotherham. We feel we can offer our skills and facilities to support parents, schools and other organisations to develop happy, healthy, enthusiastic and skilled young people who can take their place in the local community with confidence and develop in to worthy citizens of our town. The Foundation anticipates it will work with around 1400 young people each and every week.

When the Rotherham RUFC unfortunately went into receivership in August 2004 the fantastic work undertaken by the Community Programme was saved thanks to a grant from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council of £100,000 and an additional loan of £150,000. This support offered by the Council was in response to the work with young people, through the Community Programme, and created the opportunity to continue the activities, in a number of different areas, for the foreseeable future.
